Review: Clarins Everlasting Foundation

Clarins Everlasting Foundation, SPF 15, 104 Cream, £24

Hello and welcome to my first ever post! I made this blog a few months back when I started watching JaaackJack and beautycrush youtube videos and it made me really want to start blogging about beauty myself, but I kept putting it off. I've finally decided, new year, new me, and the new me likes blogging (regularly)! So, here I am, with a review.

So, on that note, let the reviewing begin!

I bought this foundation about a month ago after doing A LOT of research into different foundations and which would be best for my skin. I decided that this seemed like the one for me and the girl on the Clarins counter in Debenhams convinced me. She described it as a "medium coverage foundation with up to 16 hours wear" and I have to say, for the most part, that is exactly what it is!
When it comes to coverage, I usually go for full as I have a fair bit of redness and spot scars on my cheeks. After trying Revlon Colourstay, and finding it not to be full coverage at all, I decided enough was enough and went high end (and I've never looked back)!
I would describe the coverage this foundation gives as medium to full, but it's definitely easy to build without making you look cakey. You can tell you're wearing make-up but it doesn't look really unnatural. It feels very light on the face so, although it's full coverage, it doesn't feel like you're wearing anything.
The lasting power is amazing. I can put it on at 7:30 in the morning and it will still be covering everything and in place by 7:30 in the evening (maybe even longer)! And that was the real selling point to me. I can deal with lower coverage but a foundation has to have good lasting power.
It has a light and refreshing cucumber scent to it (which for some strange reason I mistook for watermelon when I first got it), as I'm told all Clarins foundations do, and I enjoy that, somewhat. Although the smell doesn't linger after you've finished applying, it can be a bit strong (especially whilst putting on right under your nose).
I absolutely love the packaging too! The pump dispenses exactly the right amount for your whole face so you aren't losing/wasting any (like you are with the Colourstay/other pumpless foundations) and it's really easy to control.
The only problem I have with this foundation is the shade I got. Although it's not SUPER dark, I do think 103 would be better suited to my skin, but that's not the foundation's fault I know! The lady originally tried 105 and 106 on me! I couldn't believe it!

Anyway, overall I'm incredibly pleased with this product! It lasts long, offers good coverage, smells good. What else could you want?
I give it 4/5 stars (because it takes something AMAZING to get a 5/5 from me) and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Have a fabulous day!
